Either the makeup industry is lying to you or they don’t truly understand how color science works on the skin (I say it’s the latter).
Green isn’t the only color we should be using to cover acne.
-Traditional color correctors for acne are usually green and always require a foundation over top to neutralize the color.
–Demi correctors (what I’m using in the tutorial below) is a true color science corrector that doesn’t require foundation, and will literally make your blemishes disappear without a trace of makeup. (As long as you’re using the right color in the right places).
-Demi is saturated color but less opacity which is how you can kiss those blemishes goodbye without a layer on top of the skin. AND even better, you don’t need to set it and it will last all day 🙌🏻
-Demi can be used at the end of a foundation routine to any excess color coming through your foundation, but for best results use on its own.
In this tutorial I used:
G1: When acne is bright red/angry looking. Usually on day 1 of acne.
YO1 (can also use OY1): As acne starts to heal and is more purple blue or if it’s a darker blue/purple use OY1
O1, O3: On acne scars and darker healed blemishes.
And you’ll need the spot brush for exact application! If the color goes outside the area of excess it will create a halo and won’t give the disappearing effect you want.
