Can You Wear Cream Makeup With Oily Skin?

If you’ve been steering clear of cream makeup because you have oily skin, it’s time to rethink your approach. Contrary to popular belief, those with oily skin can absolutely enjoy the luminous, natural-looking finish that cream products offer. The key lies in mastering the art of cream makeup application with oily skin. By understanding your skin’s needs and adjusting your makeup techniques accordingly, you can achieve a beautiful, lasting look. This blog post will guide you through the steps to ensure your cream makeup complements rather than clashes with your oily skin.

Mastering the application of any makeup on oily skin starts with the right prep work. You know you have oily skin if your pores are visible throughout your whole face. As we age, our skin experiences a decrease in collagen production and a slowdown in cellular turnover, which can exacerbate the appearance of enlarged pores and acne, common issues for those with oily skin. Yet, the persistent production of natural oils offers a silver lining by providing a layer of moisture that helps in reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles, a distinct advantage over drier skin types. To effectively cater to mature oily skin, it is imperative to select skincare products and routines that strike a delicate balance—ones that manage sebum production without compromising the skin’s natural moisture barrier. This balance is crucial for promoting a complexion that is both healthy and resilient, capable of withstanding the test of time.

I found this skincare line months ago and was skeptical so I kept researching…but I kept being pulled back to this line.

So, I finally took the plunge and I’m 10000% hooked. And here’s why:

Aside from the company being based out of Europe and has already been thriving there for 19 years….

The base of these products isn’t water (like most conventional skincare) it’s Olive Leaf Elixir, incredibly high in an ingredient called hydroxytyrosol.

Hydroxytyrosol has multiple scientific studies showing its benefits to both the skin and the body when taken internally.

🍃minimizes wrinkles
🍃protects from environmental damage
🍃 protects the skin and eyes
🍃 can help repair and regenerate the skin
🍃can help improve skin barrier
🍃reduces hyperpigmentation + dark spots

Not to mention Olive leaf extract is a potent source of polyphenols and has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties capable of inhibiting microbial growth so there’s no. need. for. a. preservative 👏🏻 THIS IS HUGE!
